Ok, I missed a few things recently because I’ve been busy but now I’m back >_>

Theres been a few interesting bits of news lately:

1. The new G4 show, “Attack of the Show”, to replace the screensaved aired on the 28th of March 2005. It features the same cast but in a different set and based more around general crap instead of actual tech things. RIP TSS

2. Google hires yet another Mozilla developer – Brian Ryner

3. Windows XP/2003 x64 has RTMed – will be officially annouced at WinHEC 2005 (April 25-27 in Seattle)

4. Windows XP SP2 Update for 1394 Firewall devices

5. Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 RELEASED!

6. Something about Longhorn being a failure

7. Magazine features information about UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2006 CODENAMED “ENVY”

In terms of World of Warcraft the realms are currently down for maintenence and should be back with everyone having a level rested and 2 days free (w00t). Sunee made it to lvl60 today (yay) and I made it to 25 >_>

The LAN was quite the good with approximatly 34 hours of LANing goodness. Most of the regulars were there with the exception of Wilby and Afro.

There were competitons for the usual games: WC3, TA, Q3A, HL2DM, CSS but I only played in CSS and HL2DM. Came 2nd to mUnky in HL2DM (the equivilant to Necron’s rocket spam). Now that Necron is an “admin” he can’t play in the competition (oh well %D). CSS was a complete failure, mainly because people stopped playing and the first map was stupid Prodigy. I think Snook (aka Tristan) won that. So for coming 2nd all I won was chocolate but oh well.

Sunee spent most of her time playing WoW, in which she leveled from end of 57 up to start of 59 (congrats) – and she got one of those Flexiglow Blue mousemats that rocks.

Sleeping could have been better – but I was with Sunee so it was ok <3. Next time must remember to bring some sort of matresss :/

The only other thing to mension would be the awesome time we had with cacophony’s acrylic case, top 80mm blow fan. At first we stuck a coke can on top of it and laughed at it spin round and fall off. Smiddy then went to get Necron to get some tape to make a tower of 3 cans – which sort of failed miserably. BUT THEN we found one of those acrylic PSU covers which we put over the fan and made the coke can spin round constantly. It was so incredibly funny – and it annoyed the crap out of people because it made so much noise %D I suppose you had to be there to experience the funny-ness of the Can-Fan Case Mod!

Monday night I decided I’d change the look of my desktop yet again but I ended up feeling sick and went to bed at 6PM. I’m feeling slightly better now so I continued to finish off making the Samurize for it.

Sunday was the day I started to feel a cold coming on . Monday I was quite sick and Monday night I went to bed around 5pm because I was so sick. I slept until 9am Tuesday morning and supposedly I have to get a damn medical certificate because I’m going to miss the Physics test this afternoon.

Anyway, I should be fine tonight / Wednesday morning. Must study tonight for Physics

Not much news otherwise – The great Friday InLAN is on Friday-Saturday night, hopefully I can make it to that.

Well it has been a while – mainly because of school work and all. Way too much recently.

Theres been a couple of coolish things lately but unfortunatly I’ve lost the links, so in summary:

Theres probally a couple more but I cant think of them at the moment – On the other hand ive hit lvl15 in WoW – yay.

Ahhhhh – LPC was today – 11:30am till around 9:30pm

It was reasonable mainly because Sunee was there (<3). Most people I knew was there, including Cynisis, YuVosh, Necron, Aussie, Yuki, Tone, the_squid, WaTo and Dave (for a bit anyway).

Started with a CS:S Comp in which I didn’t try AT ALL and somehow came 3rd. Won some dodgy McDonalds vouchers that you can only use at Glenelg but oh well. There was then UT2004 Invasion – which I won UV Cable Sleving and easy Molex Plugs (pics of prizes at moblog).

Unfortunatly the internet was wireless from Tone’s house about 300m away which kept dropping out most of the day which made it nearly impossible to play WoW

There was a WC3 comp which I didn’t play in because it sucked and HL2 Comp which I stinged out of the prize. The first round the server died half way through (even though I was on top by 2 points). So we played another 15 minute round. Necron was on 33 and I was just on 32 when JUST before WaTo said Necron wins I fragged for 33, making it a Tie. Even though I won the match before I still didn’t get the prize :@

There was an NFS:U comp of URL (which sucks) and I stuffed it up so I lost that…

Sunee won the door prize of a $150 Silver/White X-Blade case – lucky her <3

It was a smallish LAN becuase people really couldn’t be bothered turning up but oh well – the Great Friday InLAN is in 2 weeks which should be awesome fun

LOOK! its a moblog – thats right – digitaldj.net now features a Moblog powered by TextAmerica. A moblog is basically a mobile blog. I take picutres with my camera and upload them via MMS for you all to see

On another note I’m now level 10 in WoW yay.

Oh yeah – LPC is on Saturday, a smaller LAN. I wasn’t able to make it last time so lets see what its like.

Been playing since around 6PM and currently Level 5 Night Elf Warrior on the BoneChewer server.

So far so good, its interesting to see such a large map and interactions between people compared to a normal FPS shoot’em up. Theres a bloody lot of things to learn but I’m getting there and I know the extreme basics!
