The Great Friday InLAN!
The LAN was quite the good with approximatly 34 hours of LANing goodness. Most of the regulars were there with the exception of Wilby and Afro.
There were competitons for the usual games: WC3, TA, Q3A, HL2DM, CSS but I only played in CSS and HL2DM. Came 2nd to mUnky in HL2DM (the equivilant to Necron’s rocket spam). Now that Necron is an “admin” he can’t play in the competition (oh well %D). CSS was a complete failure, mainly because people stopped playing and the first map was stupid Prodigy. I think Snook (aka Tristan) won that. So for coming 2nd all I won was chocolate but oh well.
Sunee spent most of her time playing WoW, in which she leveled from end of 57 up to start of 59 (congrats) – and she got one of those Flexiglow Blue mousemats that rocks.
Sleeping could have been better – but I was with Sunee so it was ok <3. Next time must remember to bring some sort of matresss :/
The only other thing to mension would be the awesome time we had with cacophony’s acrylic case, top 80mm blow fan. At first we stuck a coke can on top of it and laughed at it spin round and fall off. Smiddy then went to get Necron to get some tape to make a tower of 3 cans – which sort of failed miserably. BUT THEN we found one of those acrylic PSU covers which we put over the fan and made the coke can spin round constantly. It was so incredibly funny – and it annoyed the crap out of people because it made so much noise %D I suppose you had to be there to experience the funny-ness of the Can-Fan Case Mod!
